North Aceh – The elected Governor of Aceh, H. Muzakir Manaf (Mualem), was warmly welcomed by the leader of Dayah Darul Muttaqin, Tgk. H. Muzakir, known as Waled Lapang, during the grand celebration of Prophet Muhammad’s (PBUH) Mawlid held at the Dayah Darul Muttaqin complex in North Aceh on Sunday (29/12/24).
Mualem’s visit to Waled Lapang’s residence was part of the series of events celebrating the Mawlid. Upon his arrival, Mualem was received with great honor by Waled Lapang, who led the traditional tepuk tepung tawar (peusijuk) ceremony as an expression of gratitude for Mualem’s victory in the Aceh Regional Election (Pilkada) on November 27, 2024.
This tepuk tepung tawar ceremony also symbolized hope and prayers for Mualem to lead Aceh with integrity and bring progress to its people.
The event was attended by several prominent figures, including Mualem’s wife, Bunda Salma, and key members of the Aceh Transitional Committee (KPA) from the Pasee Region, such as the Regional Commander Abu Len, District II Commander Ayah Mud, District IV Commander, who is also the Chairman of the Aceh Party North Aceh Regional Leadership Council (DPW), M. Jhony, SH, DPRA members Tgk. Muharuddin and Tgk. Sarjani (Imum Jon), as well as the Chairman of the North Aceh DPRK, Arafat Ali, and several North Aceh DPRK members.
In addition, charismatic religious scholars, including Abu Manan Blang Jreun, Abon Lheung Angen from East Aceh, and other prominent ulama, were also present.
After the tepuk tepung tawar ceremony, the event continued with various Islamic activities, including a religious lecture delivered by Abu Manan Blang Jreun. The event concluded with a collective prayer led by Abon Lheung Angen, seeking blessings and progress for Aceh under Mualem’s leadership.
